cashmere care instructions
Better to air than to wash
Even if you would like to wear cashmere every day, occasionally airing it out in the fresh air for a day gives the wool the rest it needs and saves unnecessary washing. This way the fibers straighten up again and stay super soft.
Knitted products: scarves, hats, gloves, etc.
dry cleaning or hand washing
Hand washing is not a problem for cashmere as long as certain guidelines are followed:
- Do not wash too often
- Do not soak
- Use liquid wool detergent or specialized cashmere shampoos
- Leave the fabric to soak in lukewarm water (20°C) with cashmere detergent for 5 minutes.
- When hand washing your cashmere, treat it as gently as possible to avoid damage. Please do not rub it. After washing, rinse the product carefully with cold water until all detergent residues are removed.
- Please do not bleach the fabric
- After washing, press dry with a clean, dry towel; do not rub.
- Leave on the towel to dry further, do not hang up.
- Alternatively: Dry in the tumble dryer, but be sure to use only cold air.
- Do not iron under any circumstances.
Woven products: blankets, scarves, etc.
Dry clean only
Tips for storage and care
Do not hang in the closet, instead fold loosely and store flat
Pilling (the formation of knots) cannot be avoided in cashmere. However, special pilling razors or combs can gently and effectively remove the pilling
